ZeroPM Summer School

ZeroPM is pleased to invite masters and PhD students with a basic knowledge of #PFAS to a summer school called

“PFAS: from occurrence and monitoring, to policy and remediation”

This will be held on the 9th, 10th and 11th of June at the Department of Environment (Τμήμα Περιβάλλοντος) | University of the Aegean in Mytilene, Greece.

The summer school will focus on topics including:
– An overview of the chemical properties of PFAS
– Current and future legislation that affect PFAS management practices
– Environmental and human health effects of PFAS
– Conventional and innovative analytical methods for PFAS, including TFA
– The role big data approaches can play in classifying the PFAS universe
– The remediation of drinking water
– The remediation of sewage sludge

In addition, there will be the opportunity to take part in field and lab work looking at the deployment and analysis of PFAS. The final day of the summer school will consist of a trip to two pilot plants treating contaminated sewage sludge and domestic wastewater.

ZeroPM is able to provide financial support related to travel costs for up ot 10 students, details of how to apply are included in the invitation flyer.
