In this webinar you will get an update on the current status of the uPFAS restriction proposal from the Federal Office for Chemicals, BAuA, Germany. The webinar will begin with a short recap of the reason for the dossier submission before moving on to look at the proposal itself. Details of the consultation process will be provided, as well as the assessment of comments by the Dossier Submitters. Furthermore, the webinar will touch on the discussions held in the committees (Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) and Socio-Economic Analysis Committee (SEAC)) as well as provide an outlook on the next steps for the uPFAS restriction proposal. Details will also be given about the upcoming SEAC consultation.

The speaker:

Carl Dannenberg is a Scientific Officer working at the Federal Office for Chemicals, BAuA, Germany. Carl has a background in organic chemistry. After working in industry as a project manager for the synthesis of products on pilot scale, he joined the Federal Office for Chemicals, the German Competent Authority for REACH, CLP and Biocides. As a scientific officer covering both substance evaluation and regulatory risk management measures under REACH, his work is currently focused on restriction processes. Carl joined the PFAS restriction work as co-coordinator for the German CA at the beginning of 2021.
